Spoon carving

I can help you get started with safe knife and axe techniques or if you've been carving for a while can help you take your carving to the next level.
One to one / 2 to one spoon carving days usually run from 10.00- 4.30
small groups of up to 6 can be accommodated by request.
One to One days are charged at £130

Brush making
A half day course - either from 9.30 - 1 or 1pm-4.30pm Come and make your own hedgerow brush, using branch wood, Tampico fibres and making rush cordage to hang it up. Or optionally come for a whole day where in addition to making a hedgerow brush you could also make a brush from bramble fibre (when it's in season from late May to mid August), or learn some whittling knife skills and carve a butter spreader. Heddle making and backstrap weaving
A day long course (10-4.30), make a simple heddle and get set up to weave narrow bands.
