Unlock the secrets of working with green (still moist) wood using simple hand tools. Learn about suitable wood, how to roughly shape with an axe, going on to learn a variety of safe knife grips which will enable you to work with the grain to refine your spoon.
We'll start at 10.00 and finish at 4.30, a vegetarian lunch of soup, bread, cheese and salad will be provided, along with tea and coffee throughout the day. Please let me know by e-mail if you have any other dietary requirements.
The course will be held in the village of Iden near the Sussex/ Kent border. A lift from the nearest train station (Rye) can be arranged.
All tools and materials will be provided. I'll send out directions to the venue to those booking.
